Why EloHymn sells white sage whole rather than just the leaves:
Harvesting sage in its entirety generally means less waste and a more efficient use of the plant. Instead of picking leaves and ignoring the rest, the entire plant is utilised. This contributes to a more sustainable approach to nature and reduces pressure on sage populations, which are threatened by overharvesting in some regions.
 
By consciously choosing whole sage, you are supporting a more responsible and respectful approach to plant use. The metaphysical effect of burning the stem is just as powerful and, in our opinion, adds more depth to your ritual because the stem connects the leaves to the earth (grounding effect).
